Oh Christ...

It's just so darn cute! I read about this over of A Cup Of Jo  and I can't help but want to cry it's that adorable. I'm just surprised that it actually made it all the way down the line without messing up what was said, although now that I'm typing that I'm sure everyone knew what the plan was. Oh how my heart melts for sweet things like this. What do you think is the most romantic proposal? I feel like every time I read or hear about something new I thinks it's the best. Any go here and watch the video of how it happen! Don't you love her reaction?

p.s. I love Joanna's blog and her blog on Glamour.com called Smitten.

I miss you Fleur Fabrics

This morning I met up with Jenny from Fleur Fabrics. She had a great knit fabric that I forgot to buy, so this morning we had coffee at starbucks and got to sit a chat like the good ole times, ha. You see Jenny owns Fleur Fabrics, she sells eco-friendly fabric, cloth menstrual pads, cloth diapers and tons of custom work. You see why I was drawn to her store?
Her shop was right next to my favorite vintage shop and only half a mile away from me, so I felt like I was always there, mostly to ask for sewing/crafting advise. And when Jenny wrote about needing some help around the shop, you better believe I was all over it. She has since closed the shop, but still remains open and working from her studio at home!
Anyway, the point of this post was to say that I miss hanging out at the shop and just chatting with Jenny about anything and everything. But it's ok, because I still get all the crafting advice I need, plus tons of other gossip. You should check out her blog and  etsy store!

I feel the same way

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!

I have to tell you something very, very important! I found out this morning that I passed the NCLEX, which is the virginia state board exam for nursing. So I am a real 100% certified nurse! EEEKKKKKKK!

P.S. thanks to all my amazing friends and family who tolerated my incessant whining and bitching.
Trust me they had to hear a lot of it!

The perfect wedding for me...

I saw this wedding on Green Wedding Shoes, a pretty sweet wedding blog, and I thought, holy shit it's the perfect wedding. I  mean don't get me wrong, I do love a grand affair, but something so small and sweet is exactly what I want. Just my closest friends and family.
Anyway this sweet couple decided to have a quick wedding under the Brooklyn Bridge, the best part? They gave each of their friends a camera, each something different, to document what happened. I also happen to think she's wearing one of the most precious dresses ever, so simple and prefect for the day! Anyway go over here to read more about it!

This is unrelated to crafts, but....

It is something everyone should read, because it's so damn funny. Have you ever made your way to The Sartorialist? Well if you haven't, it's a collection of photographs of fashionable people around the world. Yes they are much, much more fashionable than I am. So anyway, the point of this post is to show you this: Refinery 29 wrote an awesome how-to on getting your photograph taken by Scott, and honestly it sounds just about right. Go here and read it! And laugh, because it is funny and it is true.

Speaking of fashion....Anyone ready for fall fashion? It's my absolute favorite! And now that I'm actually making some money I'll be able to spring on some super cute items, or maybe if I can concentrate hard enough I'll be able to sew some things.

On the wedding front, I've got to make Deanna's garter, some decoration items and we are getting ready for the bridal shower August 1st. I'll make a post soon about the invites we did for that!
